Meet The Owner: Steve Burton

Being born & raised on a Texas farm taught me two very important lessons; hard work pays off and you are only as good as your word.

I am the youngest of 6 children and knew from a very young age that creativity, music & the arts were in my blood. I started playing the piano at the age of 6 years and continued through my college years.

I started my business in Texas in 1986, where I honed my skills in upholstery & drapery. I take tremendous joy in the fact that every job is different and I am blessed to be able to meet and interact with so many different people.

In 1998, I moved from Texas to Seattle. I happily lived & worked in the Northwest until 2014 when I decided it was time for a change. I had loved the Coachella Valley for many years and decided it was time to make this beautiful place my home. Our mountains and this desert has an energy about it that I love. It is my happy, magical place. Having worked at Upholstery Works (on Perez) for 5 years I finally made the decision to open my own place here in the Coachella Valley.

Recovery Room Upholstery & Patio was officially born in 2018 and has already established a great reputation for solid craftsmanship, design and artistry in upholstery in the Coachella Valley.
